Description
The wild orange daylily first of all, isn't really wild. and It isn't native to North America. And it isn't really a lily. Daylilies have the genus name Hemerocallis, not Lilium, the genus name of true lilies. Daylilies don't grow from bulbs like true lilies,t hey grow from a mass of thickened roots that hold so much moisture and nutrients, the plants can survive out of the ground for weeks. They are so hardy . This photo would make a wonderful splash of color for the decorator, to liven up a room or a piece of clothing, pillows, whatever.
