This juvenile red throated Anna's Hummingbird is flying towards the feeder to get her share of the nectar that keeps her going. Her coloring is just starting to show a little and the red throat will increase to to a full gorget as she matures.

Jay Milo born in New Jersey on January 2, moved to Canarsie, Brooklyn, as a small child, moved to San Francisco in 1948 and lives in Palm Desert since 1998. He is a widower.
